Dean, Ontario Agricultural College

The University of Guelph invites applications and expressions of interest for the position of Dean of the Ontario Agricultural College.

The University of Guelph has achieved prominence in Canada and around the world as a research-intensive and learner-centred university. Approximately 16,200 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate students attend the University of Guelph to pursue 11 undergraduate and 45 graduate degree programs housed within its seven colleges. With 800 full-time faculty and approximately 2,000 full-time staff, Guelph’s annual operating budget exceeds $500 million.

Established in 1874, as the founding college of the University of Guelph, the Ontario Agricultural College (OAC) is a global leader in innovative life sciences education, extension and research for the environment, agriculture, food, rural communities and planning. The College consists of three regional campuses and one main campus at Guelph, as well as various research stations. Research activities, with income of $47.9 million in 2005, span a broad range of topics, from food safety and biotechnology through to international development and animal welfare. OAC is committed to being on the leading edge of research development in the emerging bio-economy and environment.
