Senior Faculty Position
Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics
The Ohio State University is seeking to appoint a scholar of national and international reputation to its faculty. This appointment is expected to make important contributions to the department’s quest for pre-eminence in research, teaching, and outreach. We are seeking an individual who can provide exemplary leadership in our research and teaching programs (undergraduate and graduate), while continuing the tradition of outreach to state, national, and global stakeholders. Areas of emphasis may include business, energy, agricultural and environmental economics broadly defined - our over-riding objective in this search will be to appoint an individual who enhances our outstanding faculty.
The appointee will provide innovative intellectual leadership in the department, college, and university, and will be active in enhancing relationships with other departments and colleges at Ohio State and with stakeholders and relevant public agencies. Enthusiasm in pursuing collaborative and multidisciplinary projects is encouraged. We are seeking an individual committed to mentoring junior faculty and graduate students.
We anticipate offering an academic year (9 month) appointment at the rank of Professor, with an attractive salary and benefits package. Appointment at the Associate Professor rank would be considered in the case of a highly productive emerging scholar.
