Professor (open rank). The Department of Applied Economics and
Management at Cornell seeks a scholar to establish a distinguished
program of approximately 50% research and 50% outreach/extension in
environmental and resource economics with an emphasis on energy and the
environment. Areas of research/outreach might include land use, water
quality, and the provisions and valuation of environmental goods. A
portion of the outreach/extension activities must be directed to issues
affecting NY State and the region.
The faculty in the field of environmental and resource economics work in
five broad areas: Energy and the Environment, Land Use and Water
Quality, Provision and Valuation of Environmental Goods, Resource
Allocation Over Time, and Development, Resources, and the Environment.
The Experimental Economics Lab conducts a wide-ranging program of
research on behavioral economics, valuation of public goods, and
mechanisms that might improve the markets for, and the allocation of,
natural resources.
