Journal Of Environmental Management (Call for abstracts)

The Journal of Environmental Management (JEM) is inviting abstracts for papers on the economics of invasive species management in its forthcoming special issue on the same topic. The desirable papers would have substantial inter-disciplinary content to them and must address contemporary challenges facing invasive species management.

Some suggested areas are modeling epidemiological-economic and behavioral-economic components of managing infectious/invasive diseases (e.g. bird flu). Both theoretical and empirical works are encouraged, but the emphasis would be on innovative (and eclectic) ideas!

Please submit a two-page abstract latest by September 15, 2006. Upon acceptance, the author(s) must submit the full paper within two months, which would then be peer reviewed. There is no guarantee of publication until all the reviewers are fully satisfied and papers may get rejected after the first or second round of revision.

Please send your abstracts to: rranjan@ufl.edu
