Annual Meeting at the ASSA
The AERE winter meeting is held jointly with the Allied Social Science Associations (ASSA) meeting in January of each year. The 2012 winter meeting of the ASSA was held in Chicago, Illinois on January 6 - 8, 2012 and featured a number of AERE sessions, including one joint AERE/ASSA session. An AERE Luncheon and Business Meeting was held on Saturday, January 7. During the luncheon, reports of the status of AERE and its operations by the President and Treasurer were given as well as reports from the editors of JEEM and REEP. In addition, there was an AERE Fellow's Talk by Gardner Brown.
