About the Conference
The theme of this strategically important conference is "Urban Issues and Solutions." While many
conferences focus on the technical aspects of wastewater and solid waste management, this much-
anticipated event is unique in addressing the critical environmental, social and economic implications.
The aim is to share ideas, stimulate discussion and accelerate development of the tools and knowledge
needed to make sustainable waste management decisions.
A wide range of multidisciplinary researchers and practitioners will provide a holistic perspective on
waste management. Municipal leaders and others will gain valuable insights into the social and
environmental factors that must be considered in integrated decision-making.

The Edmonton Waste Management Centre of Excellence would like to announce the Call for Papers
