We are excited to announce the return of OSWEET, reincarnated as AERE@OS WEET! In this friendly online forum, scholars share work in environmental a nd natural resource economics, followed by an optional happy half-hour. Tal ks are short and sweet—three papers per session, with 15–minute presentatio ns followed by 5 minutes of friendly Q&A. We invite all to submit their work—especially junior folks, grad students, and scholars who identify as part of groups underrepresented in economics! Submit or sign up for the mai ling list to receive invitations to sessions here. NOTE: If you were previously on the OSWEET mailing list, you don’t need to sign up again; you will stay on the list unless you opt to exit it! But you are welcome to submit new w ork even if you presented at OSWEET in the past.
OSWEET was founded as the Online Summer Workshop in Environmental, Energy, and Transportation economics in summer 2020. In 2022, AERE (the Association of Environmental a nd Resource Economists) took over sponsorship of OSWEET; OSWEET became AERE @OSWEET. The organizers are Ed Rubin, Katherine Wagner, Sarah Jacobson, Max Auffhammer, and Ariel Ortiz-Bob ea.
Each OSWEET takes place on a Friday from 11-12:30pm PST (2-3: 30pm EST). The 2023 dates for OSWEETs are:
