The Scientific Partners of BIOECON are pleased to announce that the Twenty-Second International BIOECON Conference will be held on September 17–19, 2021 using a concurrent hybrid format: in-person at Snow King Resort, Jackson, Wyoming, USA (gateway to Grand Teton National Park) and streaming through an online virtual conference platform. BIOECON XXII will be of interest to scholars and decision-makers working on issues related to the science and economics of natural resources, the environment, and biodiversity. As a particular theme, BIOECON XXII will highlight the integration of natural science and social science, including economics, for conserving biodiversity and protecting human health.

We invite session and paper submissions to BIOECON XXII related to the main conference theme, Integrating social and natural science for conserving biodiversity and protecting human health, as well as a wider range of biodiversity, economics, and conservation topics including (but not limited to): • Managing protected areas for people and wildlife • Models and evidence of the influence of biodiversity on human health and well-being • Behavioral and experimental economics for natural resource management • Linkages between biodiversity protection and climate policy • Economics and ecology of seasonal migratory species conservation • Economic and environmental impacts of the transition to renewable energy • The demand for nature tourism and prospects for the outdoor recreation economy • Political economy of natural resource and environmental policies • Incentive-based policies for biodiversity protection • Observational and experimental methods for evaluating biodiversity protection programs • Market or non-market benefits and costs of the provision of ecosystem services • Using real-time remote sensing data for adaptive natural resource management Additional topics of interest are listed in previous BIOECON conference announcements, which can be found here: http://www.bioecon-network.org/pages/events-01.html. Session proposals and papers may be submitted no later than May 29, 2021, either online here, https://tinyurl.com/BIOECONXXIIsubmit, or by email to [email protected]. Only complete papers will be considered by the scientific programme committee. Please include an Abstract of 900 characters or less and Keywords with your submission. Unfortunately late papers cannot be considered. It also is possible to submit 3-4 papers together as a suggested session under one of the topics indicated above or an alternative topic. The Scientific Partners reserve the right to accept papers on an individual basis, so even if a session proposal is not successful, individual papers within the session could be accepted. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by email no later than June 15, 2021.
