Researchers, practitioners, and others with knowledge and expertise relevant to climate change science, risks, impacts, vulnerability, adaption, or mitigation who are US citizens or working at US institutions are invited by the US Academic Alliance for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (USAA-IPCC) to request nomination to participate in the IPCC’s Seventh Assessment Report and data support activities. Details and access to the nomination request portal can be accessed online at Call for Experts for Upcoming IPCC Work. Requests for nomination must be received by USAA-IPCC no later than April 4, 2025. Register for a free webinar on 27 March 2025, 2 p.m. ET, to learn more about the nomination process through USAA-IPCC. If you are a U.S. citizen or U.S.-based expert in climate research or practice and are interested in being nominated, we encourage you to attend this webinar to learn how to submit your materials for nomination to both USAA-IPCC and the US government processes. USAA-IPCC is a newly established network of U.S. academic institutions registered as observers with the IPCC, which enables the members to nominate experts for participation in IPCC activities. The founding members are Colby College, College of the Atlantic, Dickinson College, Indiana University, Princeton University, Rutgers University, Washington University in St. Louis, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Yale University, and University of California, San Diego. The Alliance is hosted by the American Geophysical Union.Contact: Neil Leary ([email protected]) |
